It’s All About the Sensuality

Update and fun ad

It’s been a busy month, and as we turn the corner into April, I’m heading into my last lectures of the school year – including a keynote of a BACCHUS Network conference in Salt Lake City. Looking forward to it!

And also looking forward (after finishing my taxes!) to some creative time to work on my lecture content. I’ve got some interesting ideas about bringing two passions of my life together at last. Now it’s just a matter of carving out time to see if that can work.

Meanwhile, here’s a wonderful ad from Coco de Mer. Because, after all, it is all about the sensuality, isn’t it?

The Pope and Condoms

Protect us from the Pope, please

The Pope made his first trip to Africa. In his infinite wisdom, he said that condoms are not a solution to the HIV epidemic, but instead are part of the problem. What?

The person in this position is clearly not someone who’s ever known a lot about sex.

Behold the Booming Breastaurant Business

Going breasts while others go bust

Oh, it’s tempting to find a visual to include with this posting, but visuals enough (including a video) at this report on Nightline about the booming business of Hooters, Twin Peaks, Bone Daddy’s in the midst of this struggling economy. It surely isn’t about the food, though some (including some women) say they go to those restaurants because of the low food prices.

Hmm…what does the breastaurant business say about our society?

Great crowd, great response!

What does a J-Spot lecture look like? Thanks to SUAB for hosting my lecture, and for putting up a fun, two-page album of the event.

Conservatives Consume Porn

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Especially in Utah!

I find the new study of the “consumption” of online pornography a bit amusing. And not terribly surprising.

Conservatives love their pornography, even while they like to complain about it. Utah is the biggest consumer, and eight of the top ten porn-loving states are red ones.

Speaking of which, I’m off to Texas tomorrow…
